The following is a letter I wrote to one of our guests, Carmen S., with whom I spent a wonderful 4 days filled with airport transfers, tours, and chauffeuring for her during her business travel. With most of our guests, even though the experience is different the connection is the same. What’s special I’ve come to realize is the mere fact of “living the moment”.
Through this blog I try to relate these special moments where the essence of life is what prevails. I once read “It doesn’t matter how long it lasts, as long as there is a connection”.

The search is in the hands of those who endeavor to understand our existence, each one uncovering their own reality.
Nothing in this search is given to us, not even the suffering. Unknowingly, we choose what we need to learn. “Seek and you shall find” has become a cliché for deaf ears ( for the most part )
Through the centuries man has become comfortable with roadblocks, some using them to grow, others using them to blame. Bad luck and misfortune are the most common, taking for granted that all the answers we seek are inside each one of us. Inside they hibernate, waiting for that breath that only each one of us is capable of exhaling to awaken the response to our questions.
The suffering is necessary to awaken those mysteries of life, the mysteries that contain the instructions and coordinates of each one of our lives.
How much we learn by listening to others, we also must not forget to listen to ourselves.
Life is karma, to understand its meaning I think of it as a seed, what you sow will be directly related to the quality of seed you plant and how you nurture it to grow will be what you reap. Careful with what you plant!!!
The energy we posses in our thoughts is much more powerful than any nuclear weapon known to man. Few know how to access that energy, those are the ones
that in life prosper.
Most focus on the negative, neglecting to relive all the positive experiences they have lived and continue to savor. Close your eyes and dream, its not that hard if you try, I can account for that. Only when we do close our eyes and dream is when we begin to understand our existence.
Our thoughts contain the groundwork for what will happen in the future, near or far.
At a very rough crossroads in my life I had the audacity to think one day I would work for Poetry and my boss Brent. Those that don’t know the story would call me crazy, the ones that do would call me a dreamer. Is not life a dream? My answer is YES, and we control it!!!
My faith is not controlled by any so called organized religious groups or doctrines, I believe and find comfort in the Buddhist philosophy.
Today something particular happened as Carmen and myself chanted “Nam Myoho Rengue Kyo at the Soka Gakkai on avda. Donado in Colegiales. As the day wore on I realized that the Gohonzon (scroll) that’s illuminated in my Butsudan (where I pray, connection to my soul, to the universe) every one of my woken hours. The particular reminder was a thumbs up to the path I have chosen. Dreams do come true!!! Nobody can confirm them for us, we must live them, each one different.
Thanks for searching Carmen, it has not landed on deaf ears.
Life is a huge spider we, all the golden strings are connected in some form or another and hold the universe together with all its marvelous laws.
Today I felt the vibrations of the strings you touched, I know you also felt that energy. Thanks for the vibes that will last a lifetime.
I don’t believe in luck or rituals that have systematically closed our eyes ( our thoughts). I believe in karma!!!
Karma has united us to learn, PEACE, LOVE, HEALTH and PROSPERITY.
I pray for these every night including for those that the world considers enemies.
“Boldness has , genius, power and magic” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Dream what you may is the basis for Goethe’s powerful words. Each day that passes I understand them a little better
NAM MYOHO RENGUE KYO
One day , I thought I could and would change the world, I failed to realize the only possibility was for me to change myself, today I know that by changing myself I could help the world change. What a whirlwind path this meandering road called life is!!! Enjoy!!!
Don’t forget to dream, it’s the essence of “LIFE”. Just close your eyes.
When I started writing, these words from Emily Dickinson awoke what I live and experience today. How wonderful to work at a place named “POETRY”
“I KNOW NOTHING IN THE WORLD THAT HAS AS MUCH POWER AS A WORD. SOMETIMES I WRITE ONE AND LOOK AT IT UNTIL IT BEGINS TO SHINE”
