ESTANCIA DAY & SAN ANTONIO DE ARECO
Visit the beautiful historical colonial town of San Antonio de Areco, founded in 1730 and located just 2-hours away by car from the city. It is considered the birthplace of the “gaucho” tradition and the “prettiest town in the Pampas.”
Pick up by Poetry starts at 8am and the return to Poetry will be close to 7pm. Your private guide will first take you through the main attractions in San Antonio de Areco. These include its main church, a chocolate factory and Miguel Gasparini’s artisan workshop.
After this tour, you will head towards a 300-hectare estancia built in 1880, where you will be welcomed with some delicious home-made empanadas, wine, beer and soft drinks.
Next, enjoy a horseback riding activity, followed by a tour or the original “gaucho” home.
At lunch time, you will feast on the traditional “asado” (BBQ), followed by the typical dessert of crème caramel with milk caramel sauce and coffee.
To finish the afternoon, you will watch a folklore dance show and a “gaucho” horse skills show (horse whisperer).
