Above all else, your health and the health of our team is our #1 priority. Before entering the building, we encourage everyone to use the alcohol dispenser located just outside our front door. Another one is located for everyone leaving the building and yet another one is located on the front desk.Additionally, we have greatly increased the frequency of cleaning in our common areas (including our guest bathroom, our front desk, our tea station, luggage room, administration office, our lobby, our outdoor dipping pool and sundeck area, and garden). Multiple times throughout the day we pay special attention to wiping down the elevator and its buttons, the common doorknobs, and hallway floors. Extra care is taken between each visitors stay in our apartments, using cleaning products with protocols that are deemed effective according to the CDC. Except in the case of an emergency, guests are guaranteed that no one from our staff will enter their apartment during their entire stay if that is their desire. Lastly, beyond normal cleanings included in your stay, guests are able to request extra cleanings if desired.

You can reserve your desired dates with a valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express) and by accepting our cancellation policy.
We ask for the total rent to be paid upon check-in. You can pay in cash or with credit card, in which case there is a 5% surcharge.
If you are part of a group occupying more than 3 apartments, we require a 30% deposit at the moment of booking, which will be subject to our cancellation policy.
The booking system only shows availability if an apartment is available for the entirety of your stay. It is quite likely that we have availability for you but you would be required to change apartments. Many guests prefer this as it gives them a chance to experience different units (each of them is unique). If you would like to explore this option, you can call us or write to us at email@example.com
Is it possible to book a date that does not yet appear to be available on your site? (i.e.- further in the future than what we have available on the site).
We generally release dates and rental rates about 6 months in advance. If you would like to make a reservation further in advance of that time, you can do so by emailing us. We will hold your dates for a particular apartment at no cost or obligation to you. Once we have set our prices, we will contact you. At that time you can accept or decline the reservation (again, at no cost).
We send you an email confirmation with our contact information, including phone number, address, your booking dates and total due.
Additionally, we send you our list of recommendations of things to do here in Buenos Aires.
During these very difficult circumstances for all of us, we our relaxing our cancellation policy.
New bookings will have free cancellation within 24 hours of check-in (2pm Buenos Aires time).
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, will be charged a one night stay.
Please note: For groups booking 4 apartments or more, or stays longer than 20 nights, a non-refundable 30% reservation deposit is required upon booking.
Yes, you can pay for the rental amount with a credit card, but it will have a 5% surcharge.

No, we do not. In fact, they are not commonly used here in Argentina.
Is there someone in the building to answer questions, help with reservations, or deal with any issues that may arise?
Yes, absolutely. Our staff’s office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 9pm and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9am to 9pm. 24 hours, 365 days a year, we have our live-in doormen here to assist, as well.
The international airport Ezeiza (EZE), also known as Ministro Pistarini International, is approximately 45 minutes away with no traffic.
The domestic airport Aeroparque (AEP), also known as Jorge Newbery, is approximately 20 minutes away with no traffic.
We are happy to have a car pick you up.
The total cost from EZE would be USD60 and from AEP, USD35. If you book airport pick up and drop off, the costs are USD110 and USD65 respectively. Personnel of the car company will be waiting for you when you exit the customs area of the airport, holding a sign with your name on it. They will help you with your luggage and drive you directly to the building.
We are on Junin 1280, between Juncal and Arenales.
Yes. Recoleta is perfectly located in the center of Buenos Aires. On one end of the city is the port of Puerto Madero, La Boca, and San Telmo. On the opposite end are the neighborhoods of Palermo, Las Cañitas, and Belgrano. Poetry is centered in Recoleta which is the neighborhood between these two ends of the city.
The minimum stay is usually 2 nights, but we have special periods with restrictions of 3 and 5 nights minimum. If the booking is last minute (48 hours in advance) we can accommodate 1 night bookings depending on availability. Please call us directly in case of a 1 night booking.
Absolutely. You can check in and check out any day of the week.
The Loft 2B has 2 beds: a queen-sized bed that is located in an open loft and a king-sized bed in the bedroom. The spaces are separated by a translucent glass wall.
Additionally, the Loft 1B has 2 beds, as well, but it is an open loft, i.e. there is no wall separating the main bedroom from the loft area where the second bed is located.
Most of our other apartments have pull-out sofa beds for additional guests.
The A and B apartments face the street. Each of the windows have been specially treated with imported double-paned glass and seals. And a second glass door serves as a triple pane.
The C and D apartments are in the back of the building and have imported double paned windows and frames.
Noise is not an issue.
Yes. If we are able to accommodate your early arrival or late departure because we do not have another person coming into the apartment, we will do this at no charge.
If you want to guarantee a check-in early/check-out late, you would have to book that night, as well.
Yes. They are electronic combination safes with your personal code, and big enough to fit a laptop computer.
The bathrooms are equipped with showers, not bathtubs.
In addition to local Argentine cable service, all of our apartments come with 4th generation Apple TVs. Via this device, our guests have complimentary use of our own extensive library of over 100 television shows as well as over 2500 movies. Additionally, our guests can access live English television channels via internet stream. Netflix, YouTube and a slew of other applications are also available.
Yes. Each apartment has air conditioning units and radiant heat, which you will be able to control.
Our mattresses are all Simmons Beautyrest.
No, but we can wash, dry and fold your laundry for you within 24hs. Each bag of laundry costs USD10.
Yes, all of the apartments have WiFi access. The building’s common areas do as well, and it is free for our guests.
The voltage in Argentina is 220 volts, which is similar to Europe. The United States, by comparison, has an electricity voltage of 110V. In addition, the wall socket is different than the ones in the United States.
Yes. The apartments have both. The electricity converter has 100 Watt capacity.
Yes, our maid service includes one cleaning/change of towels and sheets once every three nights and is included in the price. Additional maid service is available at USD15 per cleaning. You decide which day to use this service, i.e. there is no set day of the week to request it. We will not enter your apartments unless we are instructed to do so.
The building is equipped with surveillance cameras and a live-in doorman and assistant. The front door is always locked and apartment doors automatically lock upon closing.
We will charge you on a prorated basis.
Yes. We strictly forbid smoking inside of the apartments. There is a USD 500 fine for those guests who do not comply.
Smoking is allowed outside of the apartments, on an apartment’s patio/balcony/terrace with the apartment’s doors/windows closed or in one of the common terraces.
Yes. There are 2 elevators. Additionally, there are stairs.
Yes. We are just 2 blocks down from Santa Fe Avenue, which features a multitude of local and foreign brands. Additionally, we are just 4 blocks away from the Recoleta Mall.
No. There are 3 gyms in the immediate area that offer daily and weekly passes.
Do you provide any sort of recommendations on restaurants or places to go while we are in Buenos Aires?
Yes. We provide a comprehensive guide for each guest which not only provides room and building information, but also details about our favorite things to do in the city, our favorite restaurants & bars in the neighborhood of Recoleta, as well as outside of our neighborhood.
We DO NOT recommend changing for Argentine pesos before your trip since you will get an unfavorable rate in your home country. You can change enough currency to get you to the city center at the airport (if this is even necessary). For the best rate at the airport, DO NOT exchange currency at the Global Exchange desk. Their rates are terrible. If you need to change at the airport, change at Banco Nación as you exit customs.
At Poetry, we can exchange USD into local Argentine pesos at the current exchange rate. There are also ATM machines within 2 blocks of the building where you can withdraw local currency. If you choose this option, you should alert your banking institution prior to traveling that you will be in Argentina and will be accessing your cards. There will be a banking fee and currency spread paid in this transaction.
Yes, in fact there is a well established school 1.5 blocks away.
Yes. We reserve the right to limit the number of apartments a group rents for the same nights. Given the limited size of our building, it is very difficult for our calendar to accommodate several apartments booked for the same exact period. Therefore, if you are representing a group larger than 4 apartments, we ask you check with our reservations area before confirming your reservations online.
